  • Visual studio 2017 version 15.3.5 or later
  • Make sure that both "ASP.NET and web development" and "Node.js development" options checked in Visual studio features configuration 2017 10 16 10H13 01

You might also want to add typescript support for Visual studio, although we don't require it as the TypeScript code is written using Visual studio code, and not Visual Studio
